Cycling for pleasure on the sunny south side of the Alps
There is a total of 1300 kilometres of marked cycle paths along the rivers, around the lakes and in the cities. Single trails are the salt in the soup. At least for mountain bikers! An attractive downhill, of which there are truly enough in Carinthia, makes biker's hearts beat faster! Carinthia has invested a lot in the MTB infrastructure in the last few years and has given priority to flow trails. About 40 trails and a route network of about 3000 km make biking south of the Alps a real pleasure. Several bike parks with practice courses and trails in different levels of difficulty are offered as well as family-friendly tours between the numerous Carinthian lakes.

Carinthia offers an attractive terrain for racing cyclists. The mild climate on the southern side of the Alps makes extended tours possible from March onwards and the season usually lasts until November. The tours for racing cyclists lead along low-traffic routes through beautiful natural landscapes, from the proud peaks of the Hohe Tauern National Park to the gentle hills of the Nockberge mountains and into wide valleys with warm bathing lakes.
