The central location of our house enables you to easily reach important facilities such as restaurants, grocery stores, swimming pools etc. on foot. So there is nothing standing in the way of an arrival by train (we offer a pick-up and delivery service). We, Birgit and Michael, took over the "Brunnerhof" from Uncle Hans`l in 2008 after our years of study abroad (social work, yoga, shiatsu). The renting of guest rooms soon has a 60-year history and was started by the "Brunnermutter" (grandmother). Our main interest is to make ourselves independent of food retailers and energy providers as far as possible. The farm is therefore used to cover our own needs (suckler cows, cereals and vegetables). In particular, we have taken care of the preservation of an old variety of corn that has continued to grow on our farm. The gluten-free maize flour (polenta) obtained from it is predominantly made by hand. This was ground for a long time in the "BrunnerMühle" (water drive). If you are interested, we are happy to offer our visitors an insight into our farming activities. We have been a member of the Slow Food Community in Berg since 2019. One of their goals is to serve our guests as well as possible to serve regional, clean and fair food. Due to our ambitions, we were also recognized as one of 7 municipalities worldwide, the "Slow Food Village". Breakfast treats from our family production, or that of our animals, are: jams, butter, milk, eggs, bread, bacon, and honey. With those foods that we have to buy, we have always tried to ensure that they are produced as regionally as possible. So it is also better possible to guarantee good product quality, secure local jobs and make a contribution to climate protection through short transport routes. Birgit and Michael and family are looking forward to a visit
