A bike ride around the turquoise Lake Faak (Faaker See), staying on bike paths most of the time.
Author’s recommendation
For a short break we recommend the "Egger Marterl" (Egger Shrine) or the small bay in Egg.

Turn-by-turn directions
From the „Tourismusinformation“ in Faak you ride towards „See“ (follow the signs marked 20), then take a quick left and bike to the “Faaker See” (Lake Faak) outlet. Bike to the other side of the stream, past a church until you get onto “Kirchenweg” (Church Path), then go upwards on “Landstrasse” until you get to the end of the village. From there the path branches off into the forest. Follow this path in a curve to the so-called “Schwarzkogel” back to “Landstrasse.” After a few meters on this road you will reach the beginning of the climb to Drobollach on the right side of a small meadow path. This path goes through a forest to a paved road, where you take a right down towards the “Strandbad” (beach) and then along the lake to Egg. In Egg you will ride up the mountain for a short stretch and then make a marked right turn onto “Bundesstrasse” (federal highway) B84. Stay on the “Bundesstrasse” until you can get onto the parallel bike path which will take you to “Strandbad Nivea” (Nivea Beach). Take a right here and stay on the road until it makes a sharp left turn. Then follow the pedestrian/bike path over a small stream. Bike on the other side of the stream back to the center of “Faak am See.”
