The start of this tour is the Faak Tourist Information Center, from which point you go south on the Alpe-Adria-Trail to the village of Pogöriach. You then go through the village and follow the path towards Finkenstein. After this, you go along a forest path to get to the outskirts of Finkenstein. From there the tour goes around Kanzianiberg. Here is where a beautiful path along the water begins. The trail leads from Kanzianiberg and continues up to the ruins of Finkenstein, where you can enjoy more impressive views of Lake Faak, Dobratsch Mountain and the Gerlitzen Alps. There is a forest path north of the ruins which takes you back to the Alpe-Adria-Trail, back to Pogöriach, and from there back to the starting point at the Faak Tourist Information Center.
