Author’s recommendation
Take a break in one of the many great huts and restaurants.
From the mountain station of the Gerlitzen Gipfelbahn, it goes over the flat ridge (path no. 6) past the English Tower (observatory) to the German Tower (stone tower) with the architecturally special viewing platform. Here you stay on the right at the same level, cross the slope to the Alpengasthof Pacheiner and there take the path to the Pöllinger Hütte (path no. 176). Essentially, the path in the piste area always descends to the Pöllinger Hütte. The sun-kissed terrace invites your thighs for a culinary stop before heading down the steeper slope (path no. 52) and the Waldtratte to the mountain station of the Kanzelbahn.
