The small Weißenbachklamm presents itself wild and romantic. During a hike you cross the deep gorge. Numerous well-secured wooden ladders have to be climbed - not for people with a fear of heights! However, you will be rewarded with wonderful views of nature and rare animal and plant species.

Author’s recommendation

There are several benches in the gorge for resting and staying.

Turn-by-turn directions

From Schlössl Lerchenhof you first walk through the Gösseringgraben towards Jadersdorf. From Jadersdorf, the village with beautiful flower decorations, we first walk on asphalt on trail 210 towards Hermagor/Osten. Immediately after crossing the stream, we leave trail 210 to the left on trail nr. 19. Interesting rock formations show that the gorge is not far away. We look at beautiful waterfalls tumbling over tuff formations. Several footbridges make the way easier. At the top the gorge narrows, high rock steps are overcome via ladders. Deer tongue fern is very strongly represented. After getting out, take the forest path on the left back to Jadersdorf or turn right (path 19a), pass the so-called Kappele (settlement from late antiquity) back to path 210 and back to the starting point.
