Lake Faak Hike- From Lake Faak to the Drau

From the starting point, follow the main road in the direction of Egg - before the Hazienda restaurant, turn left and follow the path for approx. 500 metres. There you turn sharply to the right and continue through "Turkey" until you reach the main road again. There you turn left and go straight on over the roundabout to St. Niklas. At the end of the village turn left and follow the Drau upstream. Under the motorway bridge, a pedestrian path crosses the river and joins the Drava cycle path. On the opposite bank you walk along the cycle path to Föderlach. There a bridge leads back again and you follow the dirt road to Bogenfeld. A small forest path takes you back to Egg and past the famous Egger Marterl. Along the Way of St. James you return along the lake to the Drobollacher Strandbad. From there it is only a short distance uphill to the destination.
