Vordergnadenalm in Untertauern

Turn-by-turn directions

This delightful hike starts at the Vordergnadenalm. You reach the Hintergnadenalm in just 30 minutes on the “Alles Alm” family and hiking adventure trail (with interesting information about alpine farming). From there you go on to the Südwiener Hütte. Therefore you first follow the road, and then choose the marked hiking path. In the area of the creek you slowly ascend up to the hut. The climb to Spirzinger begins behind the hut. First you hike through a damp meadow and then climb over the mountainous slope and over a gravel path. This is an arduous path, but it is more than worth it. When you arrive at Spirzinger, you can decide whether you want to climb the Spazeck, which is a bit north at the same height, or prefer to descend. For your way back you go back to the fork and on the same way back to the Südwiener Hütte and on to the Gnadenalm.
