Distance 6.9 km
Starting from the Seespitz, the "place of the most beautiful sunset on Lake Millstätter See", you move along the Riegerbach towards the centre of the village. In Sagamundo - the house of storytelling - you can experience the history of Döbriach as well as more than 30 legends and myths of the region with all your senses. Then the route continues past the largest fruit grove in Upper Carinthia, over the dark valley towards Radenthein. On this passage of the route, you repeatedly pass relics of times long past. In 1908, magnesite was discovered on the northern side of the Millstätter Alps and mining began shortly afterwards. Once you arrive in Radenthein, small-scale landscape structures mix with urban infrastructure. Here you have the opportunity to taste regional products such as "Bioheumilchkäse" (organic cheese) in the Kaslab'n, as well as gastronomic delicacies, before the route ends at the Granatium, an extraordinary and family-friendly world of experience around garnet, the "stone of love and passion".
You can obtain a detailed map from the Döbriach tourist office.
