Length of route: from 5 km (Drauschleife return adventure pool), from 10 km (to Silbersee), from 20 km (to Villach Wasen boden). Total length: 42,195 km (to Weißenstein and back). You can get in anywhere and then walk the corresponding kilometres.
A special highlight for all runners is between Weißenstein, Villach and Wernberg. On a length of 21.1 kilometres, a marathon course along the river Drau is precisely measured. After every kilometre, whether running downstream or upstream, signs on the Draumarathon route show the distance run. Some of the route is asphalted, here in summer inline skaters share the route with the runners and the rest consists of paved natural ground. The exact measurement of the course also allows foreigners a safe orientation and ambitious runners can complete controlled speed training in kilometre intervals.
If you would like to go a little short, you could also walk from Wernberg to Villach and return from there by boat.
