This tour takes you from lake Vassach directly up to the Oswaldiberg hill. Enjoy during the ascend onto Oswaldiberg the breathtaking views over the Carinthian mountains and lakes.

The cycling and mountain bike tour Oswaldiberg starts directly at Lake Vassach and leads on a paved road directly to the Oswaldiberg. During the ascent, you can enjoy stunning views of the Carinthian mountains and lakes and the city of Villach. At the top we recommend that you park the bike and that you walk the last few meters to the historically significant church on Oswaldiberg. The church is small but charming and was probably built in the 15th century, with the first written record dating back to 1769. For a small fee access is granted, and you can go up the church tower, From there, looking over the tree tops, you can enjoy a perfect 360 degrees view.

Turn-by-turn directions
From the parking area near Lake Vassach you have to cross the main road. Turn to the left and then immediately turn right onto Oswaldiberg. After 0.5 km straight along you will see the signs "Tour auf den Oswaldiberg". This road takes you directly to the summit. Once there, you take the same route back to the starting point of the tour.
