Author’s recommendation

From the summit it´s only 5 minutes the "Gipfelhaus" where you can eat and drink. In Nötsch a visit to the Museum of the Nötsch Circle or the bakery Wiegele is recommended.

Turn-by-turn directions

The tour starts at the parking lot behind the last farm in Hermsberg. From the car park, which is surrounded by forest, we follow the forest road uphill. Soon we see the first signs "Dobratsch Gipfel". Leave  the forest road soon afterwards,  following the signs on a beautiful trail up a moderate slope. At about 1200 meters, we reach a crossroads. Now the climb becomes steeper goes up a ridge. At about 1,500 meters we cross the ridge to the right and get to a fence and to a larch wood. Follow the curvy road until you reach a mountain pine belt. Shortly after we cross the slope to the right (southeast) to the so-called Kuhriegel. These are the last 180 meters up to the summit. The fantastic view from the summit rewards for the long climb through the forest. Follow the same back down towards Hermsberg.
