Turn-by-turn directions
The starting point of this hike is the castle pond. You begin by crossing the pond along the aqueducts until you reach the parking lot and entrance of “Affenberg.” At this point you begin the hike to the “Jungfernsprung,” along a well-developed forest road. At the end of this road you will reach a clearing where you must turn right, then left only a few meters later towards “Jungfernsprung,” which you will reach in about five minutes. Enjoy the breathtaking view from the “Jungfernsprung” over Lake Ossiach. To get from the “Jungfernsprung” back to the return hike, simply take the well-marked path back. Then take a left near a picknick place, which will lead you along a forrest path and back to the original route. There will be a short climb, followed by a short descent. Follow the new forest road down where it branches to your right onto a steeper forest road. Follows the road to the junction called " Weiße Wand (White Wall)" where you turn right. After a few meters you follow the curve and reach the landscape photo frame with the castle and a wonderful landscape as your background. After a brief pause follow the forest road until you reach an intersection. Here you turn again to the right and walk along another forest road to Urleteich (small pond) and back to the starting point.
