Klangwanderweg Millstätter Schlucht: this path offers the rare opportunity of exploring soundscapes, particularly of water, in
special places equipped with sound experiments and information panels. Herbs Path: medicinal plants and herbs are illustrated and described on information panels. “Willi Dungl” Kneipp Path and Bio Training: stations on the path offer various health-improving activities, such as walking in water, face and arm baths, and breathing exercises. An information
leaflet is available at Millstatt tourist office.

Turn-by-turn directions

leaving from Millstatt the path follows the Riegenbach torrent (path 193) to Schwaigerhütte refuge (1625 m) in three sections. The “Sounds Path” (Klangwanderweg Millstätter Schlucht) takes you from Millstatt to the Obermillstätter
Landesstrasse road (L17) via Kleindombra. From this point as far as the check dam at Obermillstatt (west of Biohotel Alpenrose) represents the second section, called the “Herb Path” (Kräuterwanderweg). And the final section up to
Schwaigerhütte refuge is called the “Willi Dungl” Kneipp Path and Biotraining.

An important prerequisite for the success of a hike, is beside the careful study of the maps, the best equipment. Standard features include solid, well-fitting Berschuhe, as well as a water and windproof jacket and over trousers (rain). Sunglasses, mobile phone and first aid kit should also be found in a small backpack the necessary space.
