The Carinthian Slow Trails are prime examples for "slow motion" instead of "high speed" and offer relaxed hiking paths within beautiful landscapes. They are easy to walk, well-maintained and lead to special places where you can experience the beautiful Carinthian lakes.

The Slow Trail Afritzer See leads through the idyllic and species-rich protection area around lake Afritzer See, embedded between the mountains Mirnock and Wöllaner Nock. This hiking path offers an insight into the habitat of approx. 15 different fish species and the crayfish, which have been striving due to a recultivation process wich was started in 1992.
Author’s recommendation
Early in the morning, this circular path offers a very special calm atmosphere. At the northern end you have free access for a refreshing swim in the lake. We trust your environmental awareness and ask you not to dispose your waste along the way out of respect for nature.
