Turn-by-turn directions
the Pilgrim’s Way (Domitian Pilgerweg) leads from the lake up to the plateau and offers the pilgrim a physical and spiritual experience in contact with the lake and mountains. The Pilgrim’s Way passes by 6 Christian monuments in the municipality of Millstatt. The path offers some beautiful lookout spots and you will cross streams, meadows, through shady woods, and delightful places up on the plateau. A selection of psalms along the way invites the walker to meditate and pray. The Pilgrim’s Way is divided into three sections dedicated to different themes: “Who am I?” (Millstatt- Obermillstatt, ca. 1 hr), “Why am I walking?” (Obermillstatt- Matzelsdorf, ca. 2 hrs), and “Where are my steps leading me?” (Matzelsdorf-Millstatt, ca. 3 hrs).
