Vom See ins Apfelparadies: Klopeiner See - Lavanttal

The tour takes you first around Klopeiner See before heading out through Eberndorf and then on quiet roads towards Globasnitz, Pirkdorf and Gonowetz. Here you join the B81 and ride through the cultural town of Bleiburg and Neuhaus before crossing the Drau at Lavamünd.

From the town you take the very quiet and beautiful cycle way following the old railway and river eventually joining the road again at St. Paul. Passing the Stift through the village, you leave on the country roads once more and a climb over the Grutschen pass with beautiful views in both directions from the summit.
Descending to Ruden you then pick up the R1 Drauradweg along very quiet country roads and villages before crossing the L124 near Watzelsdorf. Continue on the R1 and drop to the river at the Völkermarkt bridge on the cycle way before a small climb and then return to St. Kanzian once again along the quiet country roads.
