A somewhat longer E-Bike tour around the two nicest lakes in Carinthia.
This E-Bike tour goes around the two nicest lakes in Carinthia. From the Faaker See (Lake Faak), you follow the "Ironman" bike route to the Wörthersee (Lake Worth) and then take the "Drauradweg" (Drau bike path) back to the turquoise Faaker See.
There are nice bars and restaurants in Velden with beautiful views of the Wörthersee.
From Drobollach the path goes past a nature preserve towards Faak, then further to Egg. If you have enough strength, you can also ride up to Tabor Peak (a climb of 160 meters) where a dream-like view of the Faaker See awaits.
The path then goes further towards Ledenitzen in Rosental. Now you follow a short stretch of the Ironman bike route until Unterferlach. After a barely-driven-on side-street the route goes to Mühlbach and further to Frög. Then there is a climb towards Velden up the mountain, where you can recharge your batteries.
From the tourist information center in Velden you then ride along bike path “R4C,” past the Velden sports arena to Lind. Then ride on the barely inhabited side-street to the Drau River and then along Drau bike path R1 to St. Niklas. Cross the Drau here and then ride downhill for a short stretch until getting back to the Faaker See.
There is a bus stop right in front of "Tourismusinformation Drobollach."
To reach Drobollach by highway, exit at "Villach-Faaker See" or "St. Niklas."
There are plenty of parking spots available by "Tourismusinformation Drobollach."
